Winter Break begins Monday, December 18, 2023. The Clark County School District (CCSD) schools will be closed until Tuesday, January 2, 2024. CCSD offices will be open during normal operating hours on December 18-22 and December 27-29.  The Board of Trustees and Superintendent Dr. Jesus F. Twelve Clark County School District (CCSD) students were matched with top-tier colleges and universities through the QuestBridge National College Match, with all tuition and expenses paid. These students have earned full four-year scholarships, valued at more than $200,000, that cover tuition, housing, books, supplies and travel expenses. Match Scholarship recipients receive early admittance and are ensured an affordable college education. More than 2,200 high school seniors received the scholarship nationwide, the program’s highest number to date. The annual Clark County School District (CCSD) survey is available online for parents/guardians, staff and students. All are encouraged to fill out the survey to provide information for CCSD and schools regarding progress toward the District’s priorities, as well as  further improve schools and increase family engagement. The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete and is a vital part of CCSD’s annual self-assessment. The surveys are available in both English and Spanish. Gordon McCaw STEAM Academy and Walter Bracken STEAM Academy elementary schools were named by the National Association of Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) as 2023 National ESEA Distinguished Schools. Both schools were recognized by the ESEA State Program Administrators (NAESPA) for exceptional student achievement. The award is determined by three categories: McCaw Elementary School was recognized as a Category 3 and Bracken Elementary School was recognized as a Category 1 school nationally for their hard work and dedication to school improvement.
