Online registration for Clark County School District (CCSD) students for the 2021-22 school year is now open. The school year will open with students attending full-time face-to-face five days a week at all schools. Families who wish to continue with distance education will need to opt-in for distance education. The deadline to opt-in for full-time distance education was May 21, 2021, to allow schools time to plan staffing for the upcoming school year. Agenda Item 5.04 – Anti-Racism Policy Development Work The Clark County School District (CCSD) Board of School Trustees received an update on the development work of an anti-racism policy. Agenda Item 5.07 – Memorandum of Agreement between the Clark County School District and the Clark County Education Association The Clark County School District (CCSD) Board of School Trustees approved a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the Clark County Education Association (CCEA) that provides financial assistance to THT Health to ensure continued health coverage for licensed educators. As part of the MOA, CCEA has agreed to provide additional transparency to CCSD regarding THT Health’s organizational management and financial situation. The 2021 Nevada Legislative session signaled a momentous shift for education in the Silver State that will help the Clark County School District (CCSD) improve student achievement. Public education saw the single largest increase of funding in education history in the State of Nevada of approximately $500 million allocated for education. This money helped the state transition from the outdated Nevada Plan to the new Pupil Centered Funding Plan.
