Agenda item 5.03 – COVID-19 Update and an Overview of Reimagining Schools The Clark County School District (CCSD) Board of School Trustees received a report on COVID-19 and an Overview of Reimagining Schools. The report showed approximately 83,000 students participated in 2021 Summer Programming, including Summer Acceleration, Extended School Year, Secondary Summer School and the Summer Bridge program. The report also outlined the efforts underway as part of Reimagining Schools For the Future of Children. Online registration for Clark County School District (CCSD) students for the 2020-21 school year is now open. Parents should note that the 2020-21 school year is scheduled to begin on Aug. 10, 2020.  Families new to CCSD may begin their registration process online via register.ccsd.net.  Families with currently enrolled students can complete registration using Parent Portal via Infinite Campus (campusportal.ccsd.net). The process will take less than five minutes for existing CCSD households.  Parents or guardians who already have an Infinite Campus account will see an announcement through the Parent Portal and a link connecting them to the 2020-21 registration page. …

The Clark County School District (CCSD) is announcing the launch of a process to engage the community on a shared vision of what we want for our schools and how we can invest recent infusions of federal funds to support that vision. Ribbon-cutting ceremonies at two new schools and five replacement schools helped usher in Clark County School District’s (CCSD) 2021-2022 school year. The ceremonies celebrated not only the contributions made by the schools’ namesakes to the community, but also the important investment made in creating a 21st century education for students. The schools will help with easing overcrowding and updating aging infrastructure with modern technology. This is possible thanks to bonding authority approved by the Nevada Legislature that allows for CCSD to build new schools and renovate existing ones.
