Human Capital Management Update

Human Capital Management Update

The Clark County School District (CCSD) is working to address the impact of unforeseen payroll issues resulting from the implementation of the new Human Management Capital (HCM) system launched in January 2020.

CCSD is currently:

a) working tirelessly to correct system and process issues to have clean payroll runs, and issuing compensation due, as quickly possible, when discrepancies are identified.

b) activating a network of support in collaboration with our business and community partners to address the financial impact for affected employees.

c) creating a process by which impacted employees may request support, including short-term, financial assistance.

PAYROLL DISCREPANCIES

Our employees are our priority. We are working diligently to address HCM system and process issues, fix payroll discrepancies, and disburse the compensation our employees have earned in service of our students and the community. Additionally, we will continue to take action to pay time owed as quickly as possible.

We have set up a new system for employees to ask questions or request assistance regarding payroll matters. We are asking new requests to be submitted through a Quick-IT form at quickit.ccsd.net from a CCSD computer. Requests or questions submitted before March 3, 2020 will continue to be processed and there is no need to resubmit requests.

NETWORK OF SUPPORT

We understand that many of our employees have been negatively affected by payroll discrepancies and have reached out to seek assistance. We have heard the concerns and together with our business and community partners have identified a network of support for impacted employees.

Utility companies have been contacted and we are finalizing details for CCSD-employee assistance, which may include elimination of late fees and assurance of continued service.

Additionally, we are working with Clark County Social Services and other non-profit providers to establish a network of support for employees who need assistance with food, past-due rent, housing, and other services.

More information regarding the support network available and the processes to access these resources will be summarized and provided to impacted employees by Thursday, March 5, 2020. If urgent questions arise before the distribution of the resource guide, please email ENGAGECCSD@nv.ccsd.net.

SHORT-TERM FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

CCSD is offering one-time support to our employees through interest-free, financial assistance to any employee who has been impacted by underpayments in 2020. This is not a replacement of the payroll that is owed to the employee, but is designed to provide temporary assistance for employees with potential financial challenges.

Employees who are verified as impacted and select to participate in this financial assistance option should contact the payroll approvers at their assigned location to begin the process. Substitute employees should contact Substitute Compensation in Human Resources (Flamingo location). Request for participation will open today, March 3, 2020 and will continue until further notice.

Our employees are our priority. We are working diligently to address the HCM system and process issues, fix payroll discrepancies, and disburse the compensation our employees have earned in service of our students and the community.

We will continue to keep you informed. Thank you for your time and attention.
