The Clark County School District (CCSD) is seeing promising signs of pandemic recovery through investments supported by $777 million in funding from the American Rescue Plan Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Act (ARP ESSER III). From January 15 to 20, Clark County School District (CCSD) students will participate in activities that contribute to creating a more peaceful world in celebration of Peace Week.  Peace Week focuses on helping educators, students and the community to promote a culture of peace in Nevada and around the world. Individuals work on understanding and managing conflict in their own lives.  CCSD schools are encouraged to share their Peace Week activities on social media using #CCSDPeaceWeek! 

A new version of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is now available for 2024-25 applicants. The Federal Student Aid Office, part of the U.S. Department of Education, announced the updated form will help expand eligibility for students seeking financial assistance, as well as a streamlined user experience. Officials estimate that applicants may answer as few as 18 questions, which could take less than 10 minutes to complete. The Federal Student Aid Office estimates more than 600,000 new students from low-income backgrounds may be eligible to receive Federal Pell Grants due to the updates to student aid calculations.…

Winter Break begins Monday, December 18, 2023. The Clark County School District (CCSD) schools will be closed until Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Twelve Clark County School District (CCSD) students were matched with top-tier colleges and universities through the QuestBridge National College Match, with all tuition and expenses paid. These students have earned full four-year scholarships, valued at more than $200,000, that cover tuition, housing, books, supplies and travel expenses. Match Scholarship recipients receive early admittance and are ensured an affordable college education. The annual Clark County School District (CCSD) survey is available online for parents/guardians, staff and students. All are encouraged to fill out the survey to provide information for CCSD and schools regarding progress toward the District’s priorities, as well as  further improve schools and increase family engagement. The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete and is a vital part of CCSD’s annual self-assessment. The surveys are available in both English and Spanish.
