10 Aug Vegas PBS offers many resources for teachers, parents and children

For the new school year, Vegas PBS will continue to provide quality educational resources for educators, parents and children. In a column for Source magazine, Vegas PBS Educational Media Services Director Dr. Niki Bates said, “The Vegas PBS special needs resource library (Described and Captioned Media Center) … delivers a powerful means of support for those with special needs, their families and service providers. A grant-funded library, originally developed to provide descriptive video for the blind and closed captioning for the deaf, has grown to address a multitude of special needs such as down syndrome, autism, language delay, anger management, motor skills development, and more.” Bates also cited Vegas PBS’ Ready To Learn and other valuable programs for CCSD families.
