The 2019 legislative session is in full swing in Carson City. It appears that legislative leaders remain committed to introducing an updated funding formula this session, CCSD staff told the Board of School Trustees at a recent work session. Such a change would start to address an adequate base funding amount, plus “weights” that would provide additional funds for students who need additional support.
