65 Teaching and Training program students to pursue a career in education

LAS VEGAS – The Clark County School District (CCSD) Career & Technical Education Department celebrated students planning to pursue a career in education on Thursday during the Future Educator Signing Day at Southeast Career and Technical Academy.

The event recognized CCSD Teaching & Training Program students planning to attend universities around the nation. Several will be attending in-state colleges including Nevada State College, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, University of Nevada, Reno and College of Southern Nevada.

Students can enroll in the Teaching and Training Career & Technical Education (CTE) Program to begin their pathway to becoming a CCSD teacher while completing their high school diploma. CCSD currently has more than 25 high schools that offer teaching programs with just over 3,000 students enrolled in teaching and training classes.
