LAS VEGAS – Agenda Item 3.02 – 2023-2024 Final Budget  The Clark County School District (CCSD) Board of School Trustees approved the adoption of the final budget for the 2023-24 school year. The District is required by state law to submit a final budget by early June to the Nevada Department of Taxation.  CCSD estimates an approximate $3.2 billion in total operating revenues for the 2023-2024 school year. 83% of the general operating fund is allocated to employee salaries and benefits. Clark County School District (CCSD) leadership awarded 184 high school seniors from 23 schools with the Superintendent’s Medallion for their academic excellence during the inaugural ceremony.  CCSD Superintendent Dr. Jesus F. LAS VEGAS – Agenda Item 3.01 – Memorandum Agreement for Incentives Programs at Transformation Network Schools The Clark County School District (CCSD) Board of Trustees approved a memorandum of agreement with the Education Support Employees Association (ESEA) regarding the availability of incentives to Support Professionals at the newly formed Transformation Network schools. Education Support Professionals will receive a $7,500 incentive during the 2023-24 school year. Agenda Item 3.01 – Culture and Climate Study The Clark County School District (CCSD) Board of School Trustees received a presentation on CCSD’s Culture and Climate Study. CCSD has partnered with Public Consulting Group (PCG) to conduct a study that identifies opportunities to improve CCSD’s overall culture and climate. As a part of this effort, PCG is administering an anonymous, districtwide survey for all staff personnel. Each school year CCSD recognizes and celebrates outstanding new educators – in a variety of categories – who have demonstrated excellence and dedication to students and the school community. A new educator is defined as someone who has no prior contracted experience and was hired during the 2022-2023 school year. National School Social Work Week is observed from March 5-11, 2023. CCSD recognizes the critical role that school social workers have in our schools. They provide resources and support for our students and families each and every day. CCSD is celebrating National School Breakfast Week (NSBW) beginning March 6-10, 2023. Families are encouraged to take advantage of the healthy choices available with school breakfast. This year’s NSBW theme is “DIG IN to School Breakfast,” highlight the benefits of building better nutrition by starting the day with a healthy school breakfast.
