Patrick Donn Dimasin is a graduating senior at West Career and Technical Academy in the biomedical sciences program. Patrick is graduating as the class valedictorian and will be attending Pomona College this fall for a double major in chemistry and public policy analysis. Patrick hopes to pursue a career in appellate advocacy as a long-term goal but hopes to work in political advocacy as a short-term goal. Garrett Ordonez is Foothill’s Star Grad for the 2022-2023 school year. Garrett is a valedictorian candidate, school president, and swimmer for Foothill’s Swim and Dive Team. Garrett impacts his school and community in a variety of ways including serving as a member of Foothill’s Ecology Club, where he’s an advocate for sustainable water usage and a Hope Squad National Council member. Garrett spearheaded an animal shelter donation drive and assisted in planning the “Senior Send-Off Donation Drive” which sold donated school supplies at a lower cost than retail stores to assist those with financial struggles. Haley Herbolsheimer is the Basic Academy Star Graduate and what an amazing graduate she is. She is in the top 5% of students academically in her Senior Class. Aqutas is being recognized as Laughlin High School’s Star Graduate due to his drive and desire to succeed. At the end of his sophomore year, Aqutas encountered some academic struggles and found himself failing classes and missing credits required for graduation. Instead of becoming discouraged and giving up, he went to his teachers for help in his classes and to his counselor to find ways to make up his missing credits.
