Upcoming CCSD meetings, events and observances

On Wednesday, Feb. 10, there is no school for students, licensed employees, and nine-month support professionals. First contingency day (if needed).

On Monday, Feb. 15, CCSD schools and offices will be closed in observance of Presidents’ Day.

Below is a listing of scheduled meetings, events and other observances. Meetings occasionally are rescheduled, so please check the links below as it gets closer to the planned date. When appropriate, CCSD may hold virtual meetings when gathering together in person is not possible.

Monday, Feb. 1-28 – CCSD observes Black History Month, a month-long celebration that was established to reflect on the history, teachings, and achievements of African Americans.

Monday, Feb. 1-5 – CCSD honors the contribution of school counselors to public education during National School Counseling Week.

Monday, March 1-31 – CCSD celebrates both Music in Our Schools Month, emphasizing the significance of music in the learning experience, and Youth Art Month, sharing the importance of art and art programs in our schools.

Monday, March 1-5 – CCSD recognizes Nevada Reading Week, whose activities aim to promote a lifelong love of reading, and Dr. Seuss Day on March 2.
