Clark County School District students are encouraged to take part in the third annual Sphere XO Student Design Challenge.

This year’s theme, Pi Day, is inspired by the intersection of art and science, the same principles that built the Sphere.

If a student’s design is chosen, their art will be displayed on the world’s largest digital canvas in Las Vegas, the Sphere. There will be two CCSD high school winners who will receive a $10,000 educational scholarship from the Sphere. The four elementary and middle school winners will receive a $10,000 donation to their school’s art program and tickets for their entire school to see The Wizard of Oz.

Winners will be selected by a combination of public voting and a panel of judges. The final 120 designs will be viewable at thesphere.com and additional information about voting will be announced at a later date.

The winners’ work will be unveiled on March 11, 2026, at a community celebration at the Sphere just ahead of Pi Day, celebrated annually on March 14.
