Station Casinos and The Public Education Foundation Celebrate “SmartStart” Program at Jydstrup ES

Leaders from The Public Education Foundation (PEF) and Station Casinos held a check presentation ceremony at Helen Jydstrup Elementary School on August 10. Station Casinos donated $120,000 to the PEF for its “SmartStart” education program partnership benefitting 11 schools in Clark County.

Students and teachers were welcomed back to school with a variety of activations across Station Casinos’ partner schools with special luncheons and school supply donations.

“SmartStart” funds have helped purchase a book vending machine and implement the PAWS Palace (PBIS Rewards program) at Jydstrup ES for the 2022-2023 school year. The school was also announced as Durango Casino and Resort’s new partner school.

SmartStart is Station Casinos’ commitment to the valley’s school children for the past 23 years.
