Aqutas is being recognized as Laughlin High School’s Star Graduate due to his drive and desire to succeed. At the end of his sophomore year, Aqutas encountered some academic struggles and found himself failing classes and missing credits required for graduation. Instead of becoming discouraged and giving up, he went to his teachers for help in his classes and to his counselor to find ways to make up his missing credits. He put in the time and effort and raised all of his grades while making up the missing credits. He did all of this while performing as a top athlete in multiple sports including football, basketball, and track and field.
Aqutas is now focusing his attention on looking into college and other postsecondary opportunities that will allow him to be successful in all avenues he chooses to pursue in the future.
