Alex Gallegos has been a student at Eldorado High School for the past four years and has demonstrated academic excellence since day one. Alex has excelled both academically and in his extracurriculars, being a member of the Varsity Track & Field, Wrestling and Cross Country teams during his four years at Eldorado High School. Alex is the student body president, and participated in Student Council all four years. He is currently a State Board Officer for the Nevada Association of Student Councils and was the EHS SOT Elected Chair for the 2019-2020 school year. In addition to the leadership positions held at Eldorado, Alex has been a student member of the Nevada State Board of Education, Nevada State Board of Education Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Working Group, Clark County School Districts Superintendent’s Student Advisory Committee, and the Clark County School Districts Superintendent’s Government Relations Working Group. He plans on attending American University, where he received the Frederick Douglas scholarship worth $25,000, renewable for 4 years while majoring in Political Science. He has a great future ahead of himself and we are happy to have him represent the class of 2021 as a graduate of Eldorado High School.
