Star Grad – Veterans Tribute Career and Technical Academy

Diana Bernabe-Castillo is a valedictorian candidate who consistently seeks opportunities to expand her knowledge in the IT and Cybersecurity fields. Diana’s persistence in finding opportunities to extend her knowledge and skills beyond what is learned in the classroom illustrates her passion for knowledge and commitment to going above and beyond the base expectations. She has already been accepted to the University of Southern California (USC) but is waiting on offers from various other colleges. She plans to pursue Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in college with the end goal of becoming an Electrical Engineer. Her dedication to her academics and the STEM field has earned her many recognitions including the 2022 Hispanic Recognition Award issued by College Board National Recognition Program, 2022 Nevada Affiliate Award Winner for Aspirations in Computing issued by National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT), 2021 CyberPatriot Competition 2nd Place Silver Tier Award, and 2021 Cyberpatriot Competition Semifinal Round Qualifier.
