Zaylene Edmonds is the definition of “good vibes” and strives to serve others as a way of staying aligned with her true self and connecting with others. Zaylene serves her school as a member of the Black Student Union and the founder of the Women Activist Club on campus. Miss Edmonds started the club upon returning to school after distance learning because she recognized that students needed a way to reconnect with others. The Women Activist Club is a group of hard working female activists that seek to make change in the world. They promote awareness as well as target real world problems while offering a comfortable space for one another. Zaylene serves her community through her mosque by leading in activities for seniors, serving the homeless in the valley and conducting cleanups in the area. Even during all of this, she still finds time to work as a barista at Starbucks. After graduating with an Advanced Honors diploma, she is attending the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and enrolling in the Honors College. She plans to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice and study law.
