Star Grad – Nevada Learning Academy at CCSD

Maya is an excellent student and leader here at Nevada Learning Academy at CCSD. Maya not only excels academically, but she is also the President of our Student Council at our school. She is a member of the National Honor Society and maintains an excellent GPA. She has helped organize activities for our students and assisted greatly with leading our fundraiser for the prom. In her free time, she volunteers for the Salvation Army, works part-time at a daycare, and spends time with her family and friends.

Maya has been accepted to Hampton University and plans to pursue their honors program in biomedicine, where she will work towards her degree to become a neurosurgeon in honor of her sister, Aquanetta, who suffers from Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome. Maya is a very well-rounded young woman and deserves to be recognized as our 2024 Star Graduate!
