Legacy High School proudly celebrates Robert Duran as our Star Graduate of 2024, a testament to his resilience, determination, and unwavering spirit. Despite facing formidable obstacles, Robert’s journey exemplifies the power of perseverance and the triumph of the human spirit. His infectious smile and kind heart bring joy and inspiration to his peers and educators alike.

From a young age, Robert learned the value of hard work and perseverance, guided by the example of his single father. Robert was diagnosed with a medical condition, enduring multiple hospital stays and surgeries. Yet, through it all, Robert refused to let adversity dim his aspirations.

In addition to his academic achievements, Robert’s involvement in the theater club exemplifies his commitment and passion. As a member of the set construction crew and sound management team, he showcases his talents leaving a lasting impact on the school community.

Robert’s remarkable journey is further recognized by his receipt of the Charles and Phyllis Frias Legacy Scholarship. This scholarship, providing $100,000 for college, empowers Robert to pursue his dreams of attending college right here in Las Vegas, where he will major in accounting. He is truly a shining star that illuminates a path for others to follow.
