Star Grad – East Career and Technical Academy

Nancy Muñoz exemplifies what it means to be an East Career and Technical Academy Titan in leadership, work ethic and kindness to all. She is a standout member of East Tech’s Marketing and Hospitality Program and served as the 2023-24 DECA State President. Nancy also serves as President of East Tech’s No Place for Hate DEI Club, where she has created student-led presentations about respect, microaggressions and how to avoid them. Her work in this area has helped to make East Tech a more safe and welcoming space for all. Nancy stands out because of her capacity and ability to lead and mentor her peers both at East Tech and throughout Nevada. Nancy leads with patience and kindness and encourages students to stand up and show up for themselves and each other. She sets a standard for excellence wherever she goes because she is kind, patient and encouraging to others and is always the hardest-working person in the room. Nancy is still weighing her options for college. She will grow wherever she is planted and make the most of every opportunity. Nancy is going to change the world; East Tech is proud to name her our STAR GRAD!
