Lisandro Zamora-Quinones exemplifies what it means to be an East Tech Titan in leadership, work ethic and kindness to all. He is a standout member of East Tech’s Marketing and Hospitality Program and is a seasoned and decorated DECA competitor, including two invitations to international competition. Lisandro also serves as an East Tech Ambassador. As a lead ambassador, he has hosted tours and presented to state, national and international visitors, talking with them about his CTE program and his experiences as a student at East Tech. What makes Lisandro such a stand out is his capacity and ability to lead and mentor his peers. Lisandro learns the name of all the students in his CTE program; he becomes their friend and helps them in every way possible. He is always available to help a freshman who isn’t sure how to tie his tie or give encouragement to a junior preparing for mock interviews or a marketing pitch presentation. Lisandro sets a standard for excellence in his classes through his kindness, patience, encouragement to others and by always being the hardest-working person in the room. Lisandro will head to UNLV in the fall and will undoubtedly continue to make us proud!
