Julian Rivera-Gonzalez has an impressive intrinsic curiosity and desire to learn. Julian’s intelligence is a compliment to his kind and humble demeanor. He has been able to balance his education, extracurricular activities, run his own business and continue to maintain at the top 1% of his class. Julian ranks 9th in his class out of 797 students. While at Coronado High School, Julian has not only been an active member, but a leader, as CEO of his own business Kicks Kommerce, president of DECA, vice-president of Armed with IQ, and an active member of Advanced Placement Executive Council, National Honor Society, Key Club, AP Capstone Coalition, Young Progressives Club, Environmental Club and Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Julian was U.S. Senate Page second semester of his junior year appointed by Senator Jacky Rosen. His achievements/ awards have been National Hispanic Recognition Award, Page Ceremony Speech Contest Winner, College of Southern Nevada Accounting Scholarship, DECA Entrepreneurship Team Decision Making State and International Finalist, DECA Individual State Finalist, SCORE Las Vegas ICDC Scholarship Recipient, and Advanced Placement Scholar with Distinction.

Julian has left his mark on Coronado High School, his community and especially all those he comes in contact with, and will be remembered for his innate passion for learning, infectious smile and kind demeanor. Julian is off to Stanford University this fall. He truly is going to make a mark on this world! “
