A ribbon-cutting was held at South Career and Technical Academy (SCTA) on Wednesday, September 3, to celebrate the opening of the new campus. SCTA is the Clark County School District’s (CCSD) newest high school, opening its doors for the 2025–2026 school year, and is CCSD’s ninth career and technical academy. The school offers workforce and career readiness programs to students.

CCSD Board of School Trustees President Irene Bustamante Adams, Trustees Emily Stevens and Lisa Satory, as well as Superintendent Jhone Ebert, Deputy Superintendent of Business Operations Felicia Gonzales, Deputy Superintendent of Teaching and Learning Dr. Jesse Welsh, Assistant Superintendent of College and Career Readiness and School Choice Gia Moore, State Senator Julie Pazina and Clark County Commissioner Michel Naft attended the celebration.

SCTA offers nine programs, including Advanced Manufacturing Technologies, Cyber Defense and Advanced Computing Technology, Early Childhood Education, as well as Entertainment and Sports Marketing.
