Scholarship season is under way for high school seniors

For high school seniors who want to pursue higher education, they should check in with their school counselors to learn about scholarship opportunities if they haven’t done so already.

In addition, the Clark County School District Guidance and Counseling Department, along with The Public Education Foundation, College of Southern Nevada, and the Nevada Treasurer’s Office, is holding webinars where students can learn more about scholarships and financial aid. Scholarship applications are now being accepted by many local organizations, including The Public Education Foundation, The Rogers Foundation and other nonprofits in Nevada.

Many community, civic, faith-based, trade, and professional organizations offer scholarship opportunities as well, and students should check with them to see if they’re eligible to apply.
