RIBBON CUTTING SHOWCASES CENTRAL TECHNICAL TRAINING ACADEMY AND GLOBAL COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL

Clark County School District and community leaders celebrated the opening of the new Central Technical Training Academy-Global Community High School campus with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Aug. 1. 

Central Technical Training Academy is a non-traditional high school focusing on career pathway training through CTE coursework, credentialing, and work-based learning opportunities. 

The mission of Global Community High School is to provide a rigorous, relevant and diverse education to English language learners by modeling respect, building cultural community, and using innovative research based instruction while instilling the values of academic excellence and civic responsibility.

Those participating in the ribbon-cutting ceremony were Superintendent Dr. Jesus F. Jara, School Board President Irene A. Cepeda, School Board Vice President Evelyn Garcia Morales, Trustee Linda P. Cavazos, Las Vegas Councilwoman Olivia Diaz, Global Community High School Principal Elena Fabunan, and Central Technical Training Academy Principal Lilianna Bonderov.
