Lawrence JHS to host college and career fair

Clifford J. Lawrence Junior High School will host its second annual College Family Night, Jan. 16, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria.
Students and families will have an opportunity to speak with a representative from about 15 colleges and universities along with high school counselors, ROTC high school staff and students, CCSD FACES Family And Community Engagement Services, non-profit organizations and Nevada Prepaid Tuition Program.
Additionally, attendees will be able to participate in breakout sessions designed by Lawrence staff to provide tips for success in math, choosing elective classes, improving writing and learning about AVID strategies.
