Foothill High School teacher, Joseph Kielminski, was awarded the 2023-2024 Milken Educator Award! This award is given yearly to teachers whose work as an educator is a model for the state and the nation.

During a school assembly on Friday, April 12, Mr. Kielminski was surprised by Trustee Ramona Esparza-Stoffregan, Interim Superintendent Brenda Larsen-Mitchell, Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo, Nevada Department of Education Superintendent of Public Instruction Jhone Ebert and Senior Vice President of the Milken Educator Awards Dr. Jane Foley with a $25,000 Milken Educator Award.

Sometimes described as “the Oscars of Teaching” this award has recognized teachers across the nation for their quality of teaching. The Milken Educators Awards are well on their way to presenting their 3,000th award to educators across the nation. They believe that “The future belongs to the educated.”

Thank you Mr. Kielminski for your dedication to educating and inspiring our students!
