Earlier this month at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), Clark High School clinched first place at the 2025 Nevada Science Olympiad, earning their 14th state championship. The win secures their spot at the National Science Olympiad Tournament this May at the University of Nebraska.
The competition featured some of the top young scientific minds from across the state, and Clark High School stood out with an impressive medal haul in events ranging from Air Trajectory and Anatomy to Experimental Design and Wind Power. The team brought home multiple top-three finishes across more than a dozen categories, including:
🥇 Air Trajectory, Disease Detectives, Experimental Design, Forensics, Helicopter, Tower, Wind Power, and Write It Do It
🥈 Anatomy, Dynamic Planet, Ecology, Entomology, Forensics, Geologic Mapping, Helicopter, Materials Science
🥉 Astronomy, Ecology, Entomology, Experimental Design, Helicopter, Microbe Mission, Optics, Robot Tour
“The entire season they all worked and studied hard during the week. They all came in multiple weekends, and every holiday when they did not have to,” said James Miller, Science Olympiad advisor at Clark High School. “We traveled across the country from MIT to USC, and it all came together in the end. I could not be more proud of how these students responded to the challenges that were placed in front of them.”
