CCSDPD welcomes two new police officers after graduation

Two new officers will join the Clark County School District Police Department (CCSDPD) after graduating from the Vegas Valley Police Academy on Thursday, February 15. The graduation was held at the College of Southern Nevada’s North Las Vegas Campus.

Officer Pedro Robles-Robles and Officer Abigail Short took their oath during the ceremony.

They will join 186 police officers who protect the District’s students and staff each day.

The officers will now begin field training. Once completed, they will join CCSDPD’s Middle School Division.

The District was awarded a $1.7 million grant in 2023 to help implement the Middle School Division, which aims to create a curriculum focusing on potential dangers and on positive interactions with law enforcement with the goal of building mutual respect between officers and students.
