CCSD students honored as U.S Presidential Scholars

Congratulations to our 2023 U.S. Presidential Scholars! Ed W. Clark High School’s Troy Warren Harris and West Career & Technical Academy’s Amy Park were recognized for their accomplishments in academics, the arts, and career and technical education fields.
The students are part of the 59th class of national scholars made up of more than 160 high school seniors. The scholars are selected annually by The White House Commission on Presidential Scholars based on their academic success, artistic and technical excellence, essays, school evaluations and transcripts, as well as a demonstrated commitment to community service and leadership.
The White House will recognize the 2023 scholar’s achievements with an online recognition program in the summer.
Learn more about the program on the U.S. Department of Education’s website.
