CCSD students earn awards for speech and debate

The Clark County School District (CCSD) is proud to highlight multiple speech and debate students from three schools who recently took home awards at the National Individual Events Tournament of Champions.

Twelve CCSD students qualified for the national tournament, which was held in Bellevue, Nebraska, and four earned awards.

  • Tyler Breeden, Canyon Springs High School – 4th Place (Impromptu Speaking)
  • Brayson Holmes, Clark High School – Semifinalist (Extemporaneous Speaking)
  • Gray Anderson, Palo Verde High School –  Quarterfinalist (Oratory) 
  • Nola Zeppenfeld, Palo Verde High School –  Quarterfinalist (Impromptu Speaking)

 

More than 30 CCSD students, including the award recipients above, will compete this summer at the National Speech and Debate Tournament in Des Moines, Iowa.
