The Clark County School District’s (CCSD) choir students at Las Vegas Academy of the Arts and Mario C. and JoAnne Monaco Middle School’s band director, Yolandus Douglas, were featured on the holiday special, “Barry Manilow’s A Very Barry Christmas” at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino. The special premiered on December 11 on NBC.

Students at John C. Vanderburg Elementary School, Gilbert Academy of Creative Arts, Gordon McCaw STEAM Academy and Hannah Marie Brown Elementary School were part of the “Young Children’s Choir” in the televised show, coordinated by Del Webb Junior High School choir director, Jennifer Lowry. Mr. Douglas, who is a drummer for Mr. Manilow, also played the drums for the holiday show.

Del Webb Junior High School Concert Choir students performed with Mr. Manilow for his Christmas show in 2022. The Concert Choir and several CCSD students were invited to perform with Mr. Manilow during a non-taped session after the Christmas special.

The performance may also be streamed on Peacock.
