29 Aug CCSD starts district-wide full-day kindergarten

Nearly 80 first-time students between the ages of five and six started their first full-day of kindergarten at James B. McMillan Elementary School on Aug. 29, a sample of the full-day-kindergarten programs being offered for the first time at all schools across CCSD. Principal Antoinette Irby and kindergarten teachers welcomed students and answered questions from parents. CCSD Board of School Trustees Clerk Patrice Tew and Superintendent Pat Skorkowsky were in attendance to help welcome students and address the move from half-day to full-day kindergarten.
