17 Jan CCSD schools take part in annual MLK parade in downtown Las Vegas

Hoggard and Williams Elementary Schools were among the many CCSD schools to take part in the Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade in downtown Las Vegas on Jan. 16. The schools were among about 140 entries that made their way from Charleston Boulevard to Ogden Avenue beginning. According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Cheyenne High School Principal Zachary Robbins boasted of the message conveyed by the 360 students from his North Las Vegas school who took part in the parade.” Robbins said, “When he (King) talked about equality, he meant equality for all. Not some, not segments, but all.”
