Linda Rankin Givens Elementary School is the latest Clark County School District (CCSD) school to be named a National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education (DOE).
Givens Elementary was honored in the Exemplary High Performing Schools category and was one of two Nevada schools selected for the award in 2022.
The coveted National Blue Ribbon School award affirms the hard work of educators, families and communities in creating safe and welcoming schools where students master challenging and engaging content.
“We are so proud of the teachers, administrators, and support staff at Linda Rankin Givens Elementary School for being named a National Blue Ribbon School,” said Superintendent Jesus F. Jara. “I see all the amazing growth happening in our schools daily. This is a true testament to the hard work of our teachers, support professionals, administrators and students throughout the District. I look forward to seeing more schools join the list in years to come.”
The award is based on the individual school’s overall academic excellence or their progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups. This year, the DOE selected 297 public and private schools nationwide as National Blue Ribbon Schools for 2022.
