CCSD Police Department to host free helmet giveaway

The Clark County School District Police Department, in conjunction with Jaguar Land Rover Las Vegas, the Nevada Department of Public Safety and Mountain View Hospital, will hold a free helmet giveaway on Saturday, Jan. 12, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This event will take place at Jaguar Land Rover Las Vegas new location at 6425 Roy Horn Way. The event will also feature entertainment and a special guest appearance by BMX biker and television personality Ricardo Laguna, who is a CCSD graduate.

One of the goals of the event is to help increase safety awareness among students, parents and members of the community. The helmets are intended to not only protect children, but to also encourage dialogue about safety between parents and their child. Children must be present at the event for a helmet fitting.
