CCSD honored with highest level of financial reporting award

The District has received award for more than 35 years

The Clark County School District (CCSD) has been recognized with the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for its annual comprehensive financial report. This is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting. The District has received this award for the past 37 years.

“It is an honor to be recognized year after year for this distinction,” said CCSD Superintendent Dr. Jesus F. Jara. “We remain transparent and efficient in our financial reporting and it is imperative the District’s standards remain high.”

CCSD’s 2021-2022 annual financial report was judged by an impartial panel against GFOA’s program standards. The award recognizes CCSD’s outstanding financial management.

GFOA, founded in 1906, represents public finance officials throughout the United States and Canada. The association’s more than 20,000 members are federal, state/provincial and local finance officials deeply involved in planning, financing and implementing thousands of governmental operations in each of their jurisdictions.
