CCSD honored with financial reporting award

The Clark County School District (CCSD) has been recognized with the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting (COE) by the Association of School Business Officials International for its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR). The COE signifies that CCSD met the organization’s high standards for financial reporting and transparency in the 2020 fiscal year.

“Our core business is student achievement and that includes fiscal efficiency to support student success,” said CCSD Superintendent Dr. Jesus F. Jara. “CCSD is focused on running an efficient operation and putting every available dollar into the classroom, a priority in the district’s five-year strategic plan, Focus: 2024. This prestigious award demonstrates CCSD’s commitment to financial reporting as we continue to be open and honest with our community.”

By participating in the COE program, CCSD demonstrates its commitment to financial transparency. The District submitted its CAFR for review by a team of financial professionals who provide feedback to improve future documents. A district’s participation in the COE program can facilitate bond rating and continuing bond disclosure processes.
