21 Dec CCSD highlights Class of 2015 graduation achievements

The Clark County School District (CCSD) recently celebrated the major milestones achieved by the Class of 2015 who were honored during high school commencement ceremonies in June. Highlights for the Class of 2015 include:

  • 304 valedictorians
  • 96 salutatorians
  • 111 Advanced Placement (AP) Recognitions
  • 27 National Merit finalists (26 National Merit Scholars to date)
  • 15 service academy appointments
  • 3 Gates Millennium Scholarship recipients
  • $185 million earned by Merit Scholarship Award recipients from the Class of 2015
  • More than $255 million earned by Merit Scholarship Award recipients to date
  • $72 million earned by Millennium Scholars

CCSD’s Class of 2015 is composed of graduates who have been accepted to 115 different colleges, universities and academies across the country, including seven out of eight Ivy League schools: Brown University, Cornell University, Dartmouth College, Harvard University, University of Pennsylvania, Princeton University and Yale University. The district also continues to feature “Star Graduates,” who stood out for academic excellence and/or for overcoming the odds to graduate.
