The Clark County School District (CCSD) celebrated more than 800 teachers, support professionals, central office, school administrators and licensed specialists at the third annual Evening of Excellence: Starlight Awards. The event honors stellar employees who go above and beyond and dedicate their time and energy to drive student success. CCSD educators are the stars in our community as they light the way for improving student lives every day. The Evening of Excellence: Starlight Awards recognizes our employees’ dedication to our students.

“Employees are the lifeblood of the Clark County School District, and the Board is thrilled to have the opportunity to recognize these shining stars,”  said CCSD Board of School Trustees President Irene Bustamante Adams. “The Starlight Awards is a special night for the District, and we look forward to employee recognition events throughout the year.”

  • Elementary Teacher of the Year: Monisha McPheeters, Neil C. Twitchell Elementary School

  • Secondary Teacher of the Year: Garrett Gross, Irwin and Susan Molasky Junior High School

  • Support Professional of the Year: Jerome Weber, Rancho High School

  • Licensed Specialist of the Year: Joelle Azar, Lied STEM Academy

  • Assistant Principal of the Year: Timothy Wells, Mojave High School

  • Principal of the Year: Pamela Lindemuth, Barry and June Gunderson Middle School

  • Central Office Administrator of the Year: Kristin Grimm, Education Services Division

  • Elementary New Teacher of the Year: Ana Stuff, Edythe and Lloyd Katz Elementary School

  • Secondary New Teacher of the Year: Brogen Ripley, Arbor View High School

  • New Licensed Specialist of the Year: Daliah Kosmicki, Employee Health Services

“We are proud of all of the nominees and their continued commitment to lifting up our students and empowering them with the tools they need to succeed in life,” CCSD Superintendent Jhone Ebert said. “We are thankful to the organizations who made it possible for CCSD to recognize our outstanding employees.”
