The Clark County School District (CCSD) recognizes the important role of school social workers during National School Social Work Week, March 3-9, supported by the School Social Work Association of America (SSWAA). School social workers help enhance the well-being and success of students by fostering a positive school environment.
This year’s theme is “Pearls of Wisdom,” highlighting the pearls of wisdom that each school social worker brings to their campus and community: practice history, education, advocacy, resources and leadership. CCSD school social workers partner with parents, school personnel and community agencies to address issues in a student’s living situation that impact school performance.
