CCSD celebrates National School Lunch Week

The Clark County School District (CCSD) will observe National School Lunch Week (NSLW) from October 10-14. The NSLW theme this year is “Peace, Love & School Lunch,” which is designed to show parents, students, and school officials the benefits of eating school lunch.

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) serves nearly 30 million children every school day. National School Lunch Week (NSLW) was created in 1962 to promote the importance of a healthy school lunch in a child’s life and the impact it has inside and outside of the classroom.

During the 2022-23 school year, all CCSD students district wide are eligible for free school meals thanks to the Community Eligibility Provision of the federal Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act and will offer free school meals to all students during the 2022-2023 school year.
