CCSD celebrates Music in Our Schools Month

CCSD is celebrating Music In Our Schools Month, March 1-31, 2020. Secondary Music, Dance & Theatre Coordinator Jeff Williams notes that every CCSD elementary school has a certified music teacher and the district has 309 music teachers in grades six through 12. CCSD has been recognized as one of the “Top 100 Communities For Music Education” for 20 consecutive years and it has the largest Fine Arts program in the United States. This year’s secondary music enrollment is well over 85,000 students. CCSD music teachers are regularly selected as presenters, adjudicators and trainers at the regional, national and international levels.
