CCSD celebrates employees who have three decades of service or more

The Clark County School District honored nearly 100 employees who have each dedicated 29 or more years of service to CCSD at the inaugural Employee Longevity Reception held on Jan. 16 at Spring Valley High School.

Honorees were presented with their 30- and 40-year pins of service by CCSD Board of School Trustees President Lola Brooks, CCSD Deputy Superintendent Dr. Diane Gullett, and Chief Communications and Government Relations Officer Maria Marinch.

Anna J. Lee, director of the Academic Support and Community Service Center, has been a CCSD employee for over 40 years, holding a variety of positions. The most rewarding one, she said, was being a teacher.

“I appreciate the recognition that was given to me at the employee longevity recognition ceremony,” Lee said. “I would like to thank the School-Community Partnership Program for honoring those who have worked to make the Clark County School District the best it can be for the students and employees.”

In addition to receiving service pins, each employee recognized for their longevity received a mug and a certificate.

The Employee Longevity Reception was sponsored by Capital One Bank.

Improving employee morale and engagement is an objective of CCSD’s five-year strategic plan, Focus: 2024. As part of this effort, CCSD is recognizing dedicated employees who have worked tirelessly to serve the children of CCSD through events such as Employee Longevity Reception, Superintendent’s Challenge Coins, and the Superintendent’s Honor Roll.
