The Clark County School District (CCSD) held a special program to commemorate the groundbreaking of the replacement campus for Helen M. Smith Elementary School.
As part of the 2015 Capital Improvement Program, the replacement school is being built on the same site as the existing school that was built in 1974.
The design of the new campus includes flexible learning spaces, enhanced safety and security measures, as well as modern instructional technology. The replacement school is projected to reopen in August 2026.
