Agenda Item 5.02 – Memorandum of Agreement between the Clark County School District and the Clark County Education Association for Relocation Bonus

The Clark County School District (CCSD) Board of School Trustees approved a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with the Clark County Education Association for a possible relocation bonus for new hires.

Under the terms of the MOA, newly hired teachers beginning work in the 2022-23 school year will be eligible for a $4,000 relocation benefit if they moved from out of state or are moving more than 100 miles. As part of the agreement, new hires must agree to teach for CCSD for three years. The agreement is contingent on the District obtaining authorization to pay the bonuses through the ESSER federal grant program.

Agenda Item 3.03 – Memorandum of Agreement Between the Clark County School District and 10,000 Kids, Inc., Conducting Business as Dads in Schools

Trustees approved a MOA with 10,000 Kids, Inc. to implement the Dads in Schools program. The agreement runs through June 2023 and seeks to create a culture of “prevention through presence” by bringing volunteer community members into schools.

As part of the agreement, the Dads in Schools program will conduct a community awareness campaign to generate volunteer interest. Schools will provide administrator-led professional learning for volunteers who clear the CCSD background check process.

Agenda Item 5.03 – Opening of Sealed Bids, Call for Oral Bids, and Resolution of Acceptance of Bid Offer to Sell Real Property Site #172 – Arden Yard.

Trustees accepted a bid of $1,910,081.25  million for a 2.06-acre parcel of land located at 6665 West Gary Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada, 89139. The Board accepted bids pursuant to Nevada Revised Statute. An appraisal of the property established the fair market value at $990,000.
