Agenda Item 5.01 – Safe Learning and Working Environment

The Clark County School District (CCSD) Board of School Trustees received a presentation on safe learning and work environment, including:

  • Policy Overview

  • CCSD Police Services

  • Calls for Service and Violent Acts

  • Current Practices and Solutions

  • Future Work

 

Social-emotional wellbeing systems and structures have been provided to students and staff to better provide healthy schools environments. They include:

  • Hazel Health

  • Care Solace

  • PM Pediatrics

  • The Harbor

  • LifeLine

  • Panorama Education

Agenda Item 4.01 – Focus: 2024 Strategic Plan Update – Student Discipline

Trustees received a presentation regarding student discipline. The presentation included recent data as well as challenges, successes, and lessons learned from examining the topic.

CCSD is continuing with student Town Hall meetings regarding student discipline through the end of the current school year. Additional next steps include re-engagement systems with external institutions and proposed revisions to the District’s student code of conduct.
