LAS VEGASAgenda Item 4.01 – CCSD Graduation Rates

The Board accepted a report on improved graduation rates within the District, which highlighted an 86.6 percent graduation rate during the 2024-2025 school year, representing a 5.1 percent increase from the previous year.

The presentation credited improved graduation rates to our educators and staff, academic planning with students, enrollment in advanced coursework, improved Tier I curriculum and instruction, and CTE pathways aligned with industry demands.

School administrators and the District have worked together to clean up data, helping to raise the overall rate. Additionally, high schools continue to develop effective programs for students during the school year and the summer to recover credits and make up for missing coursework.

Agenda Item 4.01 – Public Hearing On and Possible Approval of the New 2025–2027 Negotiated Agreement between the Clark County School District and the Police Officers Association of the Clark County School District

Trustees approved a Negotiated Agreement with the Police Officers Association of the Clark County School District (POA) for 2025-2027.

“School safety is a top priority for the District, and our school police officers are vital to keeping our 375 schools secure throughout the year,” said CCSD Superintendent Jhone Ebert. “The Board of Trustees and I are happy to have a contract in place that reflects the value the District places on our school police force.”

The 2025-2027 Negotiated Agreement with POA includes, among other terms:

  • Regular salary step advancements
  • Increased compensation for additional “Nevada Peace Officer Standards and Training” certifications
  • Coverage of the officers’ share of the 2025 PERS increase in lieu of a basic salary increase
  • 2.5% COLA in 2026-2027
  • Increased uniform allowance

The Board of Trustees and Superintendent Ebert worked hard to ensure all employee groups received similar compensation increases for 2025-2027. The POA contract is in line with other CCSD employee contracts already passed, including for licensed professionals, administrators, and support professionals. All of the CCSD employee contracts offer approximately a 10% increase in total contract value.
