Agenda Item 3.07 – Agreement between CCSD and Behavioral Healthcare Options, Inc.

The Clark County School District (CCSD) Board of School Trustees approved an agreement between CCSD and Behavioral Healthcare Options, Inc. CCSD continues to focus on improving employee wellness and benefit offerings, and will expand The Life Connection Employee Assistance and Worklife Program (TLC) to all benefit-eligible employees on Feb. 1, 2020.

The TLC benefit will now be available to Support Professionals, Police and Police Administrators, Licensed Professionals and Administrators. The Life Connection Program is a confidential resource designed to help employees and household members balance the challenges of work and the demands of everyday life. Services are free to all benefits-eligible CCSD employees.

“CCSD is committed to improving the overall wellness of our employees,” said CCSD Superintendent Dr. Jesus F. Jara. “CCSD recognizes the challenges employees may face when balancing work and home. This resource for all benefit-eligible employees will add additional assistance for CCSD employees and those who live in the same household.”

The program offers employees confidential access to qualified behavioral health professionals, either in person or via telephone. Employees can talk to their EAP counselor about a wide range of personal and work life issues including anxiety and depression, personal conflicts, grief and loss, managing stress and change, parenting, questions about addiction issues and many others. Additionally, the plan offers resources and referrals for legal or financial consultations, and child/elder care services.

The TLC Employee Assistance Plan is provided by Behavioral Healthcare Options (BHO).
