LAS VEGAS – Agenda Item 3.06 & 3.07 – Employee Agreements – Deputy Superintendents
The Clark County School District (CCSD) Board of School Trustees approved contracts with Felicia Gonzales and Dr. Jesse Welsh to serve as Deputy Superintendents.
Gonzales will serve as the Deputy Superintendent of Business Operations. Her first day is scheduled for April 28, 2025.
Welsh will serve as the Deputy Superintendent of Teaching and Learning. His first day is scheduled for May 2, 2025.

Agenda Item 3.01 – 2015 Capital Improvement Plan, Revision 6
The Board approved a pause of one year on future school construction to allow the facility master plan process to identify adjustments to our current strategic use of limited capital funds. Given recent increases, CCSD has identified $15.5 billion in capital improvement needs, with $7.7 billion in bond funds available.
Trustees previously approved the site of a new elementary school in the Northwest portion of the valley. The Board also approved the District to move forward with the replacement campus at Matt Kelly Elementary School, which is expected to open for the 2027-2028 school year. Both of those projects will continue as part of the Capital Improvement Plan, Revision 6, approved by the Board.
